What I Wore Sunday

Linking up with Fine Linen and Purple

1. blah
2. blah blah

The flowers chose to be in focus which is just great because you know those outfits you think are good decisions but then see a photo and suddenly feel the need to reevaulate your entire life? Never drastic around here.

We need to pull it together with the Mass situation because we are just a big mess of tardy lately. We were late for our favorite 30 minute hospital Mass yet again. Simon needed a 12 minute nap after getting home from work because you know that Simon and his selfish ways and I need to take a class on getting kids dressed because you'd think I was dressing greased pork with my 18-minute-per-child wrestles. We sat in the back BACK for the first time ever because the back pews were taken. Sebastian assumed no pew meant creative freedom on the reverence front which was no reverential behavior at all. Same back arching, run awaying, kick moms shins when she dares to pick me upping story. It's all very interesting and I'm sure you love yawn reading about yawn adventures with a toddler boy yawn at Mass. We're special and we know it. Clapping hands.

I altered these pants last summer when I was about 14 weeks along (and looking super thrilled and awake and refreshed!) with Theo and I'm still having trouble zipping the side zipper so they might live to see the Goodwill pile because no one needs side zipper parachute pant stress in their life. At least that's my mantra for today.

the stuffs:
pants: Old Navy Clearance
shirt: H&M (one of those new fangled hi-low shirts that I'm too geriatric to pull off so tucked it went)
(pentacostpropriate!)necklace: made by Kris
glasses: Firmoo*
shoes: 99 years old from Target

behavior report card:
Julia: B+ aside from the vocal revelation that "Jesus is nakey!!!"
Bash: F ... always
Theo: A ... please never grow up to be like your less mature brother

*this is my second pair of glasses from Firmoo and they are my new favorite pair. They are still offering their first pair free promo so ... get on it. And even if you don't ... these puppies cost a mere $36 with the prescription lenses. They have the fancy shmance virtual try-on feature but I especially loved that you can look at pictures of multiple people wearing the different frames to get an idea of how different pairs look on different face shapes. You know? You do.

  1. I've been stalking firmoo for glasses for a while. Gonna have to just do it. Also love the haircut- seems like everyone has been trimming and I'm gettig the itch to do it (although that could be psychological from the bugs too. Ha!)

  5. Clearly the pants shrank in the wash, that can be the only explanation for not fitting yet! At least that's what I tell myself when I have the same problem...

  6. I love the necklace and the glasses totally rock. I think you are too hard on yourself with this outfit. It's cute and fresh and very current style wise. As far as being late goes...been there done that...just keep trying. That's all God asks of us. Hugs from VA.

  7. Do you have really bad eyes? Because I was told by Firmoo and like companies that my prescription is too severe for them to make me the prescription glasses...but I can still get the frames from them. How inconvenient!

  8. Um, so are you telling us you were 14 weeks pregnant in the alteration photo? I'll just go roll myself up in a nutella stuffed crepe and die now...

  9. I spent hours on FIRMOO trying on glasses on my mother during Thanksgiving. After editing her face with Picture Monkey to make the try on more dramatic.

  10. That Bahser is going to grow up to be a genius, I know it, and when people come to you and pat you on the back for fostering such creativity and the freedom to explore and be himself from such an early age, just smile and say, "Oh yeah, it was nothing. Mass and all that. That was the plan all along!" c;

  11. As my nine-year-old fusses in the background because he stayed up too late on his birthday (yesterday) when I believe we should be celebrating me since I did all the work... I love this post. You make me sane. Scary right? And so weird, In my Friday post, I wore a cardigan that was 100 years old from Target. We must have shopped around the same time.

  12. After my somewhere into the double digits viewing of your blog (yup going back into the past ones too) thought I best comment, found your blog on another blog today, don't even remember which. One of the funniest reads I've had in a while.. YOu do slightly scare me out of having kids (but not really) but otherwise very enjoyable of a blog find, plus all the awesome mom tips to keep, oh and a very scary birth story to make me (terrfied of) look forward to babies and birth..:)
