Since we are zero for four on my dream hair scenario for the kids: Simon's volume + Grace's siblings color (super blonde) = effortless blonde curls ... I guess I should throw my trait wishes behind something a little less vapid? Yes, I should.
One of my hopes is that the kids inherit Simon's impeccable eyesight because mine is anything but. And I have yet to find a brand of contacts that doesn't drive me batty ... BUT that is beside the point, completely. I'm guessing that they'll snag their old mom's eyes and if they need glasses at a young age (not the end of the world! at all! I know!) like I did I'll be running straight to Jonas Paul Eyewear because I wouldn't wish the magenta monsters of Grace's yesteryear on anyone. Not even so-and-so that made endless fun of my faux Vans in 7th grade - which I am so totally over. Completely!
But, really! Jonas Paul has the cutest frames and for every pair they sell they donate a pair of glasses or a corrective surgery to pay it forward with the gift of sight which is truly awesome. I'm always so happy to support companies that are doing good along the way.
Jonas Paul sent some sunglasses for the kids which are super cute and Sebastian now looks even MORE like a mini Simon with his shades. I was tempted to get them some fake glasses (fashion glasses?) because we all know I love to throw Theo in my frames and take a million photos but my smidgen of practicality won out.
The kids love them and are not kind to the frames but the frames of steel have taken it in stride and maintained their shape and are still in one (pretty much) perfect piece. Amazing.
We love going to the various playgrounds around our house so I snapped some photos of the kids in their natural playground habitats the other night ...
Sebastian is always either digging or begging someone to play basketball sans actual basketball.
Julia is always digging or asking us to watch her latest and greatest "crazy dance" ... like this one.
And Theo is always third wheeling it with the digging OR running around hoping someone will notice and play a rousing game of tag with him.
Phoebe takes a breather from her exhausting life of difficult and enjoys taunting Theo with his shades on her teeny tiny little head.
Jonas Paul is giving away TWO pairs of frames (sun or not - you choose!) to one lucky Camp Patton patron today.
And I promise Theo's grubby little hands won't have even come near them. Not for a second.
Jonas Paul frames are designed with 4-12 year olds in mind but Theo and Sebastian (19 months and almost three) fit into their smaller size JUST fine. Maybe they just have large heads :)
GOOD LUCK. I really do hope that YOU win.

ReplyDeleteA non-giveaway related comment. (Is that allowable? :) Don't give up on the dream yet! Puberty could be the game changer for your children's hair. Hopefully your girls have better luck than my sister and I. Our hair stayed stick straight while our brother developed perfect ringlets!
ReplyDeleteSo, my three year old wears glasses, and I seriously picked the worst frames. They've broken 4 (!!!!) times, 3 of which were defective frames. New frames, that won't break in a week? Yes, please. I like the Ryan or the Benjamin.
