And the awards for worst costumes go to ...

31 October 2012

Sebastian and Julia who dressed up as ...
Julia and Sebastian.

They both struggled with getting into true character. Faux-Sebastian's "toenail huwt" apparently. Or was this when he-she was still waking up from the nap that ended 47 minutes earlier? All the pleasant blurs together.

I'd say trick-or-treating was 45% successful. Of the six houses we hit Julia successfully waltzed into one and perched herself in front of the big screen tv, tried walking into two others but was stopped by "where do you think you're going, little fella?", and eventually just dropped her bucket-o-treats at the stoop of the last three houses and walked away as her understanding of the entire process clearly matured. And because Sebastian just sat pretty in his pink umbrella stroller the entire time, everyone just thought Julia was a not very smart little boy with a shaggy half-mullet who was not even kind of in costume.

Maybe we'll try again when real-Sebastian is five.

  9. Do I even have to tell you that Joey busted into an unsuspecting living room lulled by the glow of a real, live tv too? No? Didn't think so.

  15. Love it. Are they the same size as each other in everything? Maybe you'll have an extra extra fat baby and next year you can do this with the three of them!

  16. Are you kidding?! Best costumes ever! This is amazing. I looked at the pictures before I read and was slightly confused by how quickly Sebastian had grown, but my only experience with babies is Modern Family, and Lily aged about 4 years in 3 months so I figured it was normal.

  17. If I wasn't completely against abbreviations, I would fill this box with a bazillion laugh out louds (see? Can't even do it there...), because that's all I could do for the first fifteen minutes - couldn't even read a thing. Then the captions sent me over. Bravo, Grace. Bravo.

  18. Too funny! I mean, hello, did no one see the bow? Also, it seems like Julia made some new friends while out on the candy trail! Maybe they'll invite her over for a game watch :-)

  20. House entry is the worst. Well, almost. In his excitement at one house my son yelled out, "happy birthday!" And then my daughter asked the 100 year old lady, "are you very old?"
