We're running at about 57% here today. Oh, you want the more-exciting-than-a-long-weekend-recap-rundown? Bless you. I've fallen victim to what appears to be an ugly eye infection (did you see the gullible mom putting a piping hot tea bag on her eye bright and early this am because the internet told her it would bring the swelling down? me too - dumbo) and Julia is suffering from some chronic allergic cough that won't stop (although I think the magic bullets of: sitting position to sleep, a dunk in Vicks Vapor Rub, cough suppressant in her water bottle, and 56 coddles between the hours of 7:30pm and 2:30am seemed to finally do the trick - for now). Sebastian is as healthy as a herd of oxen and is thrilled that the she-police are busy licking their hypochon-woundage so that he might have unlimited access to all of his favorite things: the kitchen trashcan, the toilet, and the vat of peanut butter.
(Please show me this photo when I try to insist that Simon shave Butterball's head again)

Anyway ... get out of here before you catch a stink eye, a smoker's hack, or an affinity for sewage ...

Praise the comedic gods that Ashley posted again ... beggars can't be choosers but I wouldn't mind a little bump up to hourly posting from her blog ... merely a suggestion bordering on a demand.

I recently unsubcribed from all Groupon, Schmoupon, Living Social, Schmiving Locial emails because I was getting my hopes up when I had 68 new emails every morning and alllllllllllllllll 68 of them were e-coups for experiences and weird things I could live without but I totally caved on this one because I love a neon orange pumpkin spice cup-o-caffeine just as much as the next schmuck.

I haven't thought about Land's End since I was 12 years of age and just dying to wear a two piece swimsuit and trying to convince my mom that because it was from LE ... it was totally approp but this post totally made me reconsider looking at their stuff non-scando stuff.

I didn't think it was possible to like Jen even more than I already do but then she had to go and email me a photo of her t-r-i-p-l-e jogger (they exist!) and post about the amazing Verily Mag ... so that safe distance I've been keeping from her and her familia? Definitely in jeopardy.

Do you know of any stellar workout DVDs? My current fave is this one which I love but I'm always on the hunt for something that will be a million years easier and a million times more efficient ...

Stephanie always posts the best recipes and this particular one looks like it's no exception. Make it. Today.

Hasta la later.

  4. I felt similarly about Land's End until I discovered Land's End Canvas - I've had some really great, wear-to-death type of pieces from them. And ordering those put me on the regular Land's End catalog mailing list, and I have to say, they've tempted me with those new colored chinos too...

And I should probably unsubscribe from Groupon type lists as well - but totally bought that one.

  6. Grace--

I've been reading your blog since the male perspective on NFP post. So let's say it has been 2-3 months now? Thank you for talking about NFP. Thank you for bringing the funny & thank you for the solid links.

Ummm... Ashley. Is. Awesome. I follow her on Twitter now too. I love me some funny. Thank you for the awesome linkage.

And Land's End? Who knew they had cute pants like that? I have a $15 off your purchase of $75 or more coupon & was thinking...what else could I possibly buy other than a Catholic school uniform cardigan for my daughter? And now I know...cute colored chinos for Momma. Sweet.

  7. I have such a girl crush on you for being able to work out with two tiny ones and being preggers. I consider the crouches I do in the morning to stretch my jeans my daily workout. Kudos!

  8. YES!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCCESS! A triple jogger! I am happy for you. ha.

  9. Yay about the jogger! Pumpkin Spice Latte is my fav also. And I actually own a bathing suit from Land's End. But usually just toss the catalog in the recycle bin. Now I will look for chinos. How's that for all totally random information?

  10. Lands' End clothed me in my previous job at an import brokerage on the Canadian border. My post-pregnancy fat jeans are still going strong 3 years later and I seriously heart their corderoy pants.

  11. Why pay for a water table when the toilet works jusssstt fine? (and on the scale of 1 to expensive, it's free! bonus!)
PS I hate/love Jillian Michaels because she kicked my butt in her 30-day shred. I did it for the first 6 months of my pregnancy because it was only 20 minutes (so says the cover, it's actually 26 minutes but who was counting down the seconds? Not I) and the way she cleverly breaks up the workout into 3 minute circuits to let you catch a 1/2 breath riiiight before you feel like dying almost makes it seem like it's only 19 minutes of excruciating instead of 20.. I highly recommend it.
PPS Being pregnant with 2 little ones is greater than or equal to jogging. I aced math in elementary school; trust me.

    1. PPPS Since I know you've been *dying* to email me, I finally followed your ridiculously non-confusingish instructions (only took a few hours) to reveal my email address on my blogger dashboard. You're welcome!

  12. I just found this recipe last night and I can't wait to try it. Pumpkin Cake, two ingredients looks so delicious. I agree about those coupon ads, I bought several when I first started but now there are so many and they seem to be less interesting. My mailbox is a mess too.

Here's a link to that cake:

    1. I meant MY mailbox is a mess, I haven't had a chance to clean out months of mail that I don't want. I'm sure yours is very well organized.

  13. Hi Grace-I've been following your blog for a while but finally faced my fears of commenting and had to say hello today. I feel like a kindred spirit-Catholic mama whose hubs is a 2nd year resident too and we have an almost 4 month little man :) Thanks for sharing your days and for making mine a little brighter every morning. Also, I was dying at the facial expressions of stephanie's baby girl in the swaddling tutorial...how I ended up that far into her blog I will never know! PS- I have the prenatal yoga 10-minutes DVD. That woman is too perky for her own 36 weeks-of-gestation-good!

  14. Apparently your misery is my joy, because I can't wipe the smile this post caused off my face.

  15. I love me some workout videos. Buns of Steel? Amazing. I also love Mommy Baby Body Builders, Long & Lean and The Firm.

  16. I'm a little late to the commenting game here, but I like the 10 minute solutions prenatal pilates DVD, for the following reasons: (1) it's not really a workout, it's sretching while pretending to be a mermaid and suchlike, and occasionally lifting some weights. Love. (2) 10 minute segments are the best, because I am certain that the littles can entertain themselves/scream in their cribs for 10 minutes without incurring permanent psychological damage. 20 may be pushing it.
