Love Song Linkalong

Hallie over at Betty Beguiles is hosting a long song linkalong and I am not participating.
Just kidding.
Fooled you.
I am.

One of my zillion less than perfect qualities is my truly horribly taste in music. I would be shocked if you didn't think much, much less of me after seeing my picks so if you want to stop reading here maybe you should.

Or here.

LAST CHANCE.

Okay. Fine. Here we go.

We'll start off on a high note. This is the first song Simon and I danced to at our wedding. We ended the night-o-dancing with some classic Rihanna (it was raining and only appropriate) but we got the fiesta started with David Grey's The One I Love

If you don't know these lyrics by heart ... I feel sorry for you. I think this is a classic and I dont care who knows it. Take it away, Backstreet Boys I want It That Way

She can do no wrong.
Regina Spektor's Us

If you watch this clip and don't start at least tapping your foot -- you might want to get your boring meter checked. I went to a wedding where the whole wedding party did this dance and I still think it was my favorite thing to watch ever. Plus umm nothing screams romance like the refrain, "you are my destiny!" nothing.
Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack Jai Ho

I've loved this song since 8th grade and I probably definitely always will.
Alanis Morisette's Head Over Feet

ah. I want to stop here but I can't. Sorry.

You've probably already heard this song on Tim's site but I never tire of hearing it -- sorry for the repeat of Coldplay's 'Til Kingdom Come

And if you've ever had the pleasure of seeing one of Brandon's awesome wedding slideshows you heard this song. Love it. A lot.
Elbow's One Day Like This

Many thanks to Hallie for hosting and many apologies to any of you listeners that stuck around to the pretty end.

  3. If you've got bad taste in music, that makes two of us. Love all those. (Especially BSB. Is that wrong?) Do you know "The Call" by Regina Spektor? LOVE. Seriously now I'm sad I didn't put it on my list...

  5. Oh Em Gee! First, AWESOME idea for a link up. I will slide over to Hallie's to find yet another source of distraction/addiction.
Second. If you have bad taste in music I am GUILTY,
and C. That was really fun. Good start to my AM!
And 4. @ Jen, the boys are back in style. Love away.

  6. I would love to get stuck in traffic with you. You've got a lot of my faves. I love me some David Grey. Mike and I danced to "You are the Best Thing" by Ray Lamontagne at our wedding. Loves.

Also, I can't get enough of One Direction or that Call Me Maybe song. Ellen and I get ready to them in the morning because Mike is not here to die.

  7. I'm really mad that I just wasted 4 minutes of my life on that Regina Spektor video when I really should be using this time sleeping. And really the worst part is that song has always been one of my favs and I liked the music video in my head better. I'm glad I halfway caught up on your blog. And happy that you are still blogging so beautifully. gooooooodnight.
