walk

05 November 2011

Simon and I are pretty set in a lot of our geriatric ways. We thrive on an early bedtime, we always talk about the weather, I love to take baths and we take a lot of walks. The rain, nap times, marathon nursing sessions and overall fatigue have prevented me from taking any walks since I've been home from the hospital but this evening we finally ventured out of our baby cave for a little constitutional. I have been feeling perfectly fine but the hour of fresh air made me feel 110% human and better than I've felt all week. Sebastian was a little prince and slept the entire time, Julia was mostly well behaved and reserved her bullet whines (eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh) for the last 1/2 block stretch and Lucy only embarrassed us a handful of times when trying to attack some canines thrice her size. The youngish neighbors with two kids that we want to be friends with and that we pass by e-v-e-r-y s-i-n-g-l-e day finally stopped avoiding eye contact and introduced themselves (and I was shocked to learn that their long haired little girl was actually a boy...which I have to sympathize with obviously).

And I can't think of much else to say about that.

Good walk
and
Good night

  1. You look so glam on your walk. My husband and I take walks all the time, but we always look like a couple of schlubs. Family walks are really fun now, because our daughters can walk with us, instead of just being pushed in a stroller.

  4. Lady, you are AMAZING! I dont know how you handle all of this with such grace and seeming ease. I know the last thing I felt up to doing one week post delivery was taking a walk! So glad you are feeling mostly well! And your family is just adorable. So happy.

  5. Glad to hear your feeling well and getting about and about :) Random Question: I'm guessing you have an iphone. What app do you use for pics? I going to be getting one later today and I so excited to be able to take pics with it :)
