home and thank you

02 November 2011

numero one: thank you thank you thank you for all of your sweet comments and congratulations!! I really want to respond to everyone but a lot of you like to play hard to get. You can play easy if you dare.

numero dos: (but slightly heartier) thank you to Christine for generously lending Sebastian a lot of Max's insanely cute boy clothing. If it weren't for her, Sebastian would currently be rocking some jeggings and a pink blanket toga. For his inaugural big boy outfit (pictured above), Sebastian opted to wear the fitted "I ♥ Hugs" onesie (even though the lighting lends itself to perhaps mistaking it to say "I Have Gas") and speed walking shoes.

numero tres: I'm currently on the prowl for a whining/needing/whiningsomemore cessation class suitable for 13 month olds. An all day, month long class is preferable. Let me know if you know of any such manna from heaven.

numero cuatro: while I would never complain about Sebastian's earlyish arrival I'm a little bummed that I won't get to participate in Soon Maternity's bloggers challenge. They kindly sent me some very cute maternity clothing all the way from exotic Australia. Unfortunately it arrived just a few minutes too late...I'm seriously debating the merit in wearing it anyway and rocking my postpartum tum as a very suitable stand-in for Sebastian and his former cocoon.

numero cinco: I'll be back later today...I almost promise.

  1. Sebastian is SO CUTE!! And I love Julia's face in that picture. Such a crack up. When they are older/best friends, these will be funny stories to tell them.

And I meant to comment yesterday, but I vote for "Seabass" as the nickname.

  2. I meant to tell you this in an earlier comment, but I just wanted to say that I love that you waited to find out if you were having a boy or a girl. We caught so much flack for waiting until our twins were born to find out. It was worth it, though. Finding out that my twins were girls was the best surprise of my life!

  5. Oh, these pictures are precious! I snorted my drink reading "I have gas" Baha!
Been thinking of ya'll lots lately and hope all is well! I remember it was so hard the first bit when I brought Tagg home, it always felt like they both needed me at the same time and I felt like a big 'ol failure because obviously you can't help both kiddos at the same time. Now I just eat chocolate all day. It got better, ha ha!
Love, thoughts and prayers headed your way!

Poor J, send her here to play with A... maybe their early onset terrible 2's will cancel each other out

  10. Grace! Hang in there with Julia, when John Gary Jr. was needy when Gianna was born, I just started including him in things, like letting him go grab a diaper, or hold her. He was a little older, but it seemed to calm the postpartum there is someone stealing my mommy syndrome. Also if I had a spare second when the baby was asleep, i would hold him or just sit and play. 3o seconds here and there seemed to help! praying for you! beautiful fam!
