days of our lives

Get ready for a whole lot of mundane...with a very happy ending.

We began the day by listening to some Johnny Cash, Simon feeding Julia breakfast and Julia FINALLY lifting the moratorium on smiling at her mother:

We then smelled something really rotten. Like maybe we needed to clean out the produce drawer gross. We eventually realized that it was the folds under Julia's three chins that had been holding dry, crusty escaped formula rivulets hostage. Disgusting. So....Simon bathed the little monster:

Then...Simon cracked his Cinderella whip and brought this basket into my temporary quarters and kindly requested that I fold my laundry that had been collecting dust in our bedroom for three months:

And thennnn.. Christmas came early....I got the go ahead from the radiation safety officer (yep--such a person does exist) at the hospital to hold Julia...which was very, very exciting...

Simon asked, "Are you going to title this photo...'mommy is home from the stables and has homeschool hair' "...?

So, all is well and back to good here at Camp Patton. Praise be.
